OK guys it's my birthday tomorrow. I'm turning 61 and I gotta tell you I'm feeling a little inadequate.
It's not really the fact that things don't work like they use to, and that everything on my body feels stiff
except what should. No guys it's my signature. Looking kinda enemic compared to some of the others on here. So I ordered some b day presents for myself. Step 1 stage 1

Rush ceramic black HO duals
Crusher "mellow" slip ons, they only come in Chrome so when I get them I'm sending them out for ceramic coating.
V&H FP3
SE Ventilator Elite AC
While I'm waiting for this to get here I'm gonna pull some stuff and take it to get powder coated.

Mandrew recommended a local shop and I'm gonna give him a try.

I'll tell you when I'm riding that thing I don't feel 61........

Allow my signature to make yours feel better.......

Seriously though, happy birthday. Enjoy those gifts.

Happy Birthday Farmboy!!! I hope you enjoy your day and have fun installing all the goodies!

Sometimes the best gifts are the ones we buy for ourselves. Happy Birthday and enjoy the new parts. I am sure they won't disappoint.

I usually give my bride a list of 4-5 part numbers to take down to my parts guy, Kelby... then ANYTHING she brings home off the list is EXACTLY what I wanted... WIN WIN!!!

Thanks everyone!.....I've been dragging my feet on this because I tend to over analyze stuff. Don't want to buy it twice. The info and advice from everyone here on SGF has been a great help. I called Jon yesterday at Horny Toad to order step 2, reduced reach bars, heated grips, and lighted switches but hes out till Tues. I'll have to catch up with him next week.
I'm pretty OK on R&R of the pipes, mufflers, and AC. I figure I can call V&H and have them hold my hand on the tuning if I need it. The bar swap with the added goodies might be over my head. I'm thinking I'll give it a try though. Heck worst case I can send a limo for Spazz. haha

Happy birthday Old man ! ! ! (I wish I was that young again!) You'll love the ceramic pipes, I'll never go back to steel only. The heat absorption is incredible with Ceramic.

You know the more you guys talk this sh*t up, the more broke I become. I never thought keeping up with the Jones' was this tough.

Happy birthday Farmboy hoping you get your parts soon and start having fun doing the install stuff. I guess sometimes you just have to let them drop and start turning wrenches. Stalled on putting my exhaust on and tuner but I should have just got it done. Speaker and amp scared the crap out of me but it was pretty easy after watching Spazz get after it and just get it done.

Good luck and have fun today

Happy Birthday Farmboy! Rember what everyone keeps telling us at this age, that age is just a number! HA!
One of the best investments to make with a new bike purchase is a Service or Shop manual. $54 from the dealer. Everything is covered including installation of those new bars!

Blues,
the service manual was the first thing I picked up after the purchase. Got it from kutter hd on someone's recommendation from here. In another life I farmed straight north of you in McIntosh. Just off of highway 2 between Bemidji and Crookston.
I listen to the blues all the time. Even play a little guitar. Very little. Just started a few years ago and can't play worth a **** but it's like my bike. Therapy

Also good to hear your pickin' the blues on guitar. I'm 63 and I've been playing blues since I was 12! Good stuff!!
