led headlight

Thanks for the information was looking at an upgrade to the adaptive but maybe I will wait just a little longer.

So I just installed the HD Adaptive Day Maker on my 2019 SGS over the weekend (yes I know they are over priced but I liked the look of it better over the JW Speaker, I got 15% off of it, and I am blind AF at night so any little bit of extra light is worth the money IMO). Reading the instructions in tells you how to set the BCM mode for different headlights to help "prevent overcurrent". Now if I read the HD instructions correctly :)rolleyes:) the standard dual halogen bulbs allow for both the low and high beam bulbs to be lit when the high beams are turned on. They stated you need to update your BCM to "standard mode" when using the day maker which causes the low beam to be turned off when the high beam is on. Now I would think having both the low and high beam halogen bulbs on would be more of a draw then the low and high beam led bulbs of the daymaker. Can anyone else confirm this (if this is too off topic I can copy it and start a new thread)??? I would prefer to have both my low and high beams on when I turn on the high beam switch - I want as much light output as possible but I do not want to damage the electric system. Currently I have also added heated grips, and a stage 2 amp to the electrical draw and will be added LED accent lights throughout the bike in the near future.

what did they hit you for the heated grips??I was quoted $800

I installed them myself. I have done all the work myself. Just finished the Stage II speakers/amp the other day so I need to go up to the dealer and see how much they will charge me to flash it.
