Need some help from you shorter riders running monkey bars. I'll be ordering some Vindikta bars next week or the week after. I'm looking at the 12" or 14". I'm only 5'7" so I'm afraid to go to high. Any suggestions from riders of similar height. I also have a bad left shoulder so I don't want to feel like I have to hold my arm up, painful after a while. Although it may not be a problem if the pull back is enough.

Thanks

I am 5'7".....I have been on the fence for a while with bars... trying out different brands, sizes, pullback etc.
Bagger Nation
Wild1
LAChoppers
Paughco

(just to name a few )

It really is a personal choice on what you want, but from my perspective... I am going with 12" Yaffe Monkey Bars.

14" bars sit over the top of my shoulders... I don't like that and don't think I would like it at all on a long ride with my arms elevated to that level, but they are comfortable. 12" bars are just about level with my shoulders.... and they have the most comfortable position.... and wrist angle is a BIG thing to think about.... some of the bars have a bad wrist angle for me personally and couldn't see me wasting money on them.

You already know this, but the decision is a tough one... even if you have the chance to sit on a scooter with every bar that interests you.

Pictures crumb?
Need anything extra? Cables or ext wires?
Doing my research and picking brains... 8" ext from NAMZ is what is needed for 12's. TBW should be fine with a slight reroute and hyd lines for brake and clutch will work fine with a reroute.

As soon as the rest of my stuff comes in, I will be doing my install of 12" monkeys. Stay tuned...

After seeing pics, I'm thinking 10" bars for me.

10" bars will truly obstruct your mirrors and render them useless without a lot of arm movement.. like dropping them out of your way. Something to think about unless you don't mind buying new mirrors.

I know about the mirrors, but im in Minnesota and ill still ride till its 35 degrees, so there for i don't really want my hands to far above the fairing.
Same here... it was 39 when I left for work this morning... but I hear ya... I had ZERO protection on my softtail and rode in 20-30 degree temps.... cant stay spoiled forever...lol

I really don't feel much wind on my hands, at least not as much as I did on my road king with a full windshield
