3.5 years Army National Guard, followed by 6 years Nuclear Navy Electrician. Close to 4 years (87-91)on the Billy-B (CGN-25 - USS Bainbridge). Army boot camp was a lot tougher than Navy boot camp.

Navy "ET" 9 years active 1968-1977. !8 years Navy Reserves. DD933 Uss Barry, DE1075 Uss Trippe, Nas Lemoore, CA, NavCamslant Norfolk and Autosevocom Tech eval team. A lot of time at Great Lakes and Mare Island and even a few weeks at The Army's Fort Gordon.

Would not trade experiences or friends made for anything!!!

Small world. I made it to the ship's retirement ceremony, in Norfolk, a few years ago. It was actually like coming home. I will always miss the old girl. She is forever part of me.

served 86-89 on the flat top Independence as an ABH, and then a stint in the reserves for another 3, good times and bad but wouldn't trade it for nothin
