Guys, I have the 2016 Street Glide Special, and not sure if I can do this or not. I want to hook up by blutooth my two helmets so I can talk to the passenger and also hear the radio, etd. Will this work? Wallace

you will need a WHIM device (harley bluetooth device) and you will need the dealer to flash the radio to accept the WHIM. I just did this and hooked it all up today in fact. You could also go the route of a sena freewire but you will need 2 of those units to be able to talk to the passenger.

The Boom Box doesn't have a Bluetooth Headset profile on it so can't communicate to a wireless headset without an add-on. The only problem with the WHIM is it forces you to use an H-D headset. If you use a Sena one (yes I know Sena makes the H-D one) the sound will be in Mono, not stereo. You could alternatively look at Sena Freewire but you'd need one for the Passenger and the Rider. The Freewire will let you use just about any aftermarket headset which will likely save you a lot of $$$. Check out https://youtu.be/X5vqELUWVPY and WHIM install video https://youtu.be/jXWguNxx-I8. From what I understand not only the WHIM needs to be flashed but also the HD headset

My dealer did a seminar recently on the WHIM system. A lot of people were interested until they got to the part where they mentioned all the pieces needed, the price for service to install (optional), The flash of the ECM and the limitations of the system. They scattered before the end of the seminar, me included!. My Sena Calvary BT'd to my Iphone is good enough!!!
