New Bars

This may be a stupid question, but I’m new to all this.

So I found a handle bar and cable kit I liked. I’m gonna try to do the job myself. The kit comes with the cables, and the bars. When I was at the H-D dealership, he mentioned something about new risers. So my question is what do I have to have to do the bar change? My bike has cruise control and ABS.

And help is appreciated. Just any tips and information/advice would help greatly.

I have a 2013 street glide and heard nothing about risers.... just extend wires and brake and clutch cable and your good

Clutch cable will be hardest cause you have to pull cover and replace fluids. I had my buddy do mine. I have hooked bars and it wasn't fun getting wites thru
