Hope it won't cause a problem with my Hogtunes setup. I've been told these updates don't play nice with third party equipment.

It's spotty... some do and some don't..... no rhyme or reason why it affects some of us with flashed units for aftermarket systems

And this is another reason I removed my 6.5 radio and installed a aftermarket radio.

is it better to go to HD and have done or can i do it online with a thumb drive?

I have been trying to install the new version but always appear a message that the image file is not valid". Has anybody problems to install the 19.2 version on 4.3 Radio?

I downloaded the firmware from HD web.

Thanks in advance

There are no issues with the download, there should be instructions at the Harley site.
I unzipped the download to my desktop and copied the contents to a thumb drive then plugged it into the bike.
FROM HARLEY:
Download the latest software version from harley-davidson.com
a. Select "Download Software Update" for the appropriate system.
b. When prompted, save the compressed file to your computer desktop.
c. When the download is complete, copy the file within the zipped folder to the root directory (the first or top most directory in
a file system) of a USB flash drive that is 8 GB or larger.
d. Turn your vehicle's ignition switch to ACCESSORY. (Keyless ignition vehicles: press and hold the trip switch for more than
two seconds).
e. Turn on the audio system and connect the USB flash drive to the audio system's USB port.
f. The audio system will detect the new software available and ask if you want to update. Select “Yes”. The display will prompt
you to remove the USB drive when the update is complete.

Just download 19.2 and updated the bike, was on 17.1.. Easy enough.. Will see what changes on the next ride.
