New Kuryakyn Tank Console

The problem I am having with it seems it does not sit down all the way in the front, seems to be not enough room for the wire connection on top of the tank on the right side, also the gap where the gas cap and console meet, seems like water and or gas if over full will leak down on top of the tank, no rubber gasket to fill that void, am disappointed.
