New update released on HD website!!

In my USB there are maps after unzipping the iso file The Harley does not update, what am I doing wrong? The HD site says to put in the USB after the ACC switch. Here first USB and then ACC. What did you guys do?

Did the boom box 6,5 download. Are you guys talking about the 4.3 boombox update? or also about the 6.5?
Unzip on your desktop and on a CLEAN FLASH DRIVE.... copy ONLY the ISO file...

Then plug in the flash drive and turn bike to ACC

These directions work for either 4.3 or 6.5... just make sure you downloaded the right file for your system

From what I understand you have to use a clean USB stick with nothing else on it. Plugged mine in and turned on the acc and away it went. Only thing was to say yes to the update on the on the screen menu.

Good luck my friend

Was there just the ISO file on your USB or did you extract that iso file into several maps and did you put those on your usb?

Maybe it is because I 'm working with Mac most of the time and my usb is set in Apple/windows reading in some way..

I have the 6.5 and I had the acc switch on before I plugged it in. I had a clean flash drive and only downloaded the big file to my flash drive... It worked on the first try. I do not have a Mac though.

Nothing should be on the drive except the ISO file

I have a MAC and never had any problems with updates. I haven't tried the latest update yet. Need a day off of work. As they say use a clean thumb drive and I just clicked and drug the file over to the thumb drive and dropped it in.

I formated a usb in NFTS and unzipped only the iso file onto it. "The ISO image on the attached USB is corrupt or incompatible". Meaning I have the wrong file. I tried the software for the premium radio software (cause it is a rushmore SG 2015). Maybe I need the premium CVO software as I have the Wired comport installed. Will try that tomorrow

Standard Street Glide has a 4.3 unit... Street Glide Special has the 6.5 unit... if you have an SG... you need 4.3. SGS takes the 6.5

That was already clear to me. I have the SGS Boom 6.5. And downloaded that one. Still get the message "incompatible". Sent the dealer an email....

Okay Guys, An update. Seems that tere is a difference in location, and in that way a difference in the softwareupdate. http://www.harley-davidson.com/content/h-d/en_EU/home/owners/Infotainment.html
For SGS 2015 there is a possibility to choose Europe or rest of the world. The software for North America did not stick on my Ride. The European version passed as a charm.

Be sure to place only the software USB and do not attach any other USB (through a hub as I did) Because the software will not run. Next time I will place the USB directly on the primary USB port and not on the USB hub...

Hope this will help the Non USA location update trials

Great!!! I didn't even think about the different versions for US vs other countries....

I First everyone only had this link

But after contacting my local Dealer. I know that there is another site for international HD riders :)

So everything is solved. Thanx for every-bodies input!!

You just have to be different than everyone else! That's really it. LOL

No worries. Just stick UR usb in with the right software version and the IGN switch on ACC. State yes on the screen when you want to update and the program will start and show a progress bar. It reboots at 8/10 and 9/10. And at the end it confirms the update is done and you can remove the USB.

When you have the wrong software version on the stick the bike will prompt that it is corrupted or incompatible. That was the case with me, using the USA version initially, but in reality needing the European version. Update went smooth.

With the right updates, the equipment is in place to really make the system a navigation power-house. But maybe they picked the wrong gps vendor...

Well this update caused me a bit of aggrivation. No when I fire up the bike and connect to bluetooth, to get the maximum volume back I have to switch back to fm then go back to bluetooth. Then Im all ready. Hopefully the next update will be out soon to fix this. Anyone else have this issue? If not give it a shot and bet you will.
