Picked up my new bike today

Here's how she looked within 24hrs

And after all my parts was installed. Man I love the sound of the jackpot header and CFR's. Finally sounds like a Harley, the stock mufflers made it sound like crap.

Then this weekend, I'm installing my JW speaker EVO 2 light, black trim ring, and bag bolts. Plus swing by the powder coater to see what the price is to powder coat all the chrome black.

How big of a P.I.T.A. Is it to extend the control wiring for some Yaffe 12" apes?

Harley has 10 inch extensions for wiring and longer hydraulic lines for clutch and brakes. It's all in the accessories book.

N2DEEP, Just curious if you went the Powder Coat route. Just bought my first Harley 2 weeks ago (2016 Denim Black SGS) and want to black out some chrome....curious what the costs will be.

I had a bunch of stuff powder coated a while ago- engine guard, sissy bar, grip rails, front/rear turn signal housings and mounts, and lots of itty bitty parts... I don't remember the whole cost- maybe $200 for the batch of stuff I had done. It was certainly less expensive than buying new parts- and easier than trying to sell my chrome stuff to recoup parts.
I recommend that you get as much done at one time as possible because powder coaters will charge a setup cost. Call around to local places to get cost and time estimates.

I did get it everything from the engine back all gloss black. Cost me only $150, started out at $250 for everything. I dropped off my parts on a Monday, and they told me Thursday at the latest. Then it was Friday, then it was Monday, and finally got them on a Tuesday. I made up a sob story about how I missed a ride that weekend. Truth be told, I was stuck at work. But I got a $100 took off my final price.

I did buy the Harley rocker bottom plates, cause how the gasket surface is milled. And I also went with the burst top rocker cover from HD. I'll post up some pictures later today. Stuck at work right now.

Here it is with all the powder coating, wasn't sure on if I wanted to black out the crash bar or just get an after market. And I think I'm going to a 23" wheel this winter, and blacking out the front end, and also installing some 12" or 13" bars

The last picture is of my new air cleaner, think it goes better with the bike than the round one did.

I think it is turning out nicely. The first picture is the day I bought it in March, and this picture is just 2 months later. More changes are coming this winter.

Looks great! You going to black out the front end?

Looking good and can't wait to see the front end blacked out.

Yea I will, but that's my winter mod. Trying to decide if I want to go with a 21" or 23" wheel. After I decide on my wheel, I'll know which suspension to buy

Congrats got mine last month.

What solo seat is that and how is it compared to the stock two up seat, as far as your position on the bike ?

Get on your bad motor scooter and ride

You can get a good deal in Orlando, give Rob a call at Orlando Harley and use my name. You have to beat up on them a little but it will be worth the ride.
