From everything Ive read, the softest setting is based on a 200# rider. Harley believes all riders are fat :)
So for you spring fully extended

This is why Harley shocks hit like a brick for riders who weigh less than 200#.

I just switched out for a pair of these on my '12. Im 230# and although Im still playing with the settings Im at 5 clicks. Ran it at 15 clicks packed for a 3 day trip and the gf on the back (150#). Probably needed to be closer to 20 with that weight. I visited Howard at motorcycle metal recently and was ready to drop $750 for a pair of Ohlins but thought Id pick up a set of take-offs on e bay for $200. As of now I would say it was a wise choice. The newer shocks are better than the stock air bags but for riders who are under #200 I dont think you will ever get a set of the late model OEM shocks to ride decent. They are much too stiff.

I’m 215 lbs and I’ve tried every setting all are harsh . These bikes are heavy for what they cost Harley needs to fire there suspension team and send everyone shocks that actually work. Otherwise I love the bike.

Let's face it the suspension on our bikes really sucks. And the system of having to remove your saddlebag (or at the very least loosen it) is even worse. Give me a pump or 1-5 setting any day.
