Well I finally found a use for the dead space beside the radio on the other side of the “Juke box” I bit the bullet on the headset connection that is “missing” on our Street Glides for 2014-15. I ordered the short CVO unit today (part# 69201025), with my MVP discount it was only $45.
I’m going to skip the HD headset and purchase the J&M unit for my helmet instead.
Here's a sample of what it will look like installed . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .:D

Bigchief- Update: I ordered the cable and it came in without the cup, ferrell and housing! Harley gave them separate part #s instead of making this a "kit" ! I tried unsuccessfully for about an hour with the parts guy to decipher the parts book and we could not. I gave up on the idea and had him send the cable back. Sorry I forgot to follow up earlier. Harley's "ala cart" mentality is often times brilliant stupidity!!!

Well that sucks!!!

That's as bad as trying to buy a SINGLE saddlebag hinge cover for a 2104... you have to buy 2 latches and 2 hinge covers for $180!!!! GET REAL!!!

Gentlemen, I have found ways to do things by looking at the parts finder from this site. I have just finished installing the CVO tank module wiring harness and sockets so when I need to remove the tank all I have to do is un-couple and that's it.
this allows me to have the headset unit in the tank similar to Hulkss , I went with the carbon fiber insert. when I get some time I will do a parts list. go to the site , parts finder, then year of bike, all schematics are there.

MOJO this will work: one of a 69200865 communications kit, one of a:76266-98A weather cap assembly. you can coil up the excess cable or buy the pins (you will need to have a bostich crimper for the pins, automotive will not work) and cut the cable off at the 12 pin socket. install the pins on the wires, you will find a black wire and a red wire in a shield, the shield is the ground one pin goes on the shield , look at the old pin location and install the new wires and pins in the socket. plug in and you are ready to go. it is simpler to coil up the excess and stash it where the CB unit goes, if that space is occupied look around you will find a place. Email me if you need help. I went the CVO route and put it in the tank console, like the look, used the carbon fiber insert. Will send pictures later, been up for 20 hours with a broken water pipe at work, need some sleep. Later.

airhead- THANKS for all your diligence on this. The pics are helpful too.

airhead do you have the part numbers for that cvo CF dash setup?

He stated that "it came in without the cup, ferrell and housing".

I'm wanting to add this myself and waiting for the parts below to arrive.

Harness 69201025
Weather Cap 69200237

The parts schematic shows something on the inner fairing, but doesn't list any parts. It had to be incorporated into the inner fairing whenever it was manufactured but haven't been able to locate a CVO inner yet to look at one.

I also have the Boom! Audio Music and Communications Kit-69200865 just in case it's needed. I don't really want to install it since it's located next to the tank console. If I have to use it, I would consider mounting it on the side of the frame on into the Mid Frame Deflector. Looking at all options right now.

Has anyone installed one into the inner fairing?
