Speaker upgrade

I kinda like the stock ones with the chrome trim better.

Kind of on the same topic....Does anyone make a speaker kit that can be installed on the stock lids? I know you'd have to cut the lids. I had no intention of adding rear speakers, but I figure if I go all out and replace the head unit with kick ass amp, might as well add more speakers. I'd like to do 6x9's in the rear.

I thought of maybe doing a subwoofer in a chopped tourpak also. That would make up some of that bass at cruise speed...and bass is non-directional.

Not to change the subject but, anyone know why my stereo shuts off when I slow down or downshift? I turn the power off and on again and it works fine. The sound isn't distorted so I don't think I have them too loud.

I've heard of the reverse happening (cutting when you rev) because a problem with the voltage regulator.

One question in your original post on the tool, you mention the angled end made it easy...with this there is no angle...so what tool are you referring to when saying angled? Thanks again!
