special tools

Need some advice,oil leaks from between inner primary and case,could dothis job myself but concerned with buying any special tools to perform without any hiccups.Quoted 600$ to do shift shaft seal and bushing 1 to 3 weeks out.May trade the bike next year or two so would hate to have more tools sitting around for nothing.

Is it the shift seal or the main seal? Is your motor oil level low? I did that seal myself and it was pretty straightforward. I think I posted about it.

Not sure on that ,spoke with a Harley Dealer tech and this is what he said was most "common",will probably tear down this week,it is not a severe leak but i do see oil getting on belt which concerns me more than the leak itself.
