V&H hi output pipes on stock 2014

From what I hear the V&h high output pipes are not recommended for a stock 103 engine due to losing low end torque from lack of back pressure with the large baffles. However I love the sound from the clips I have heard. They are supposed to be louder than monster rounds without being crazy loud. I was told the hi outputs are slightly louder than 4" rineharts.

Does anyone have dyno info on exactly how much power would be lost by going with hi outputs.

Thinking jackpot 2-1-2 head pipes and SE air breather, and FP3 tuner with it.

If I don't get these it will be the 4" rineharts.

I heard they arent available anymore. .. I wouldnt run them on a stock 103... they were made for motors with decent mods

Not sure what you mean not available? They are still listed all over. The 4.5" hi output slip ons.

Were the CVO 103 motors of a few years ago built up that much more than our stock 103's on the 2014's?

Kosi- The above would be a great package!

Don't know about the HO V&H pipes but I have De-catted stock header pipes, saved $$$ from buying header pipes and got the Power Vision tuner w/SE A/C and the 4" RH's and love it.

If you don't want to DIY de-cat and/or save your stock pipes you still save by getting these pipes off of ebay...

This is the dyno before the de-cat head pipes...

I know.. I see them listed everywhere.... when a good friend tried to get some for his Stage IV... nobody could get them... we went with the Jackpot 2-1.... sounds AWESOME

I may be thinking of the 2-1... not the duals....

V/H site says the 'system' is designed for High Output engines with mods...

Ah, ok. I need to stop looking and just order. The more I look I keep changing my mind.

The jackpot pro touring pipes may be a happy medium. Sounds close to hi output and still looks to get good power.

Does a decat stock pipe provide roughly the same hp advantage and noise increase as aftermarket headers?

I de-catted my header and reduced heat from cat area and better flow ( less restriction) and increased noise a bit.

Its worth it but not like totally equal to the true x pipes like kuryakyn or power duals of V/H

Agree but a hell of a lot cheaper

Well.. yeah... it's worth the time and energy if you got the tools. We cut the cat open (access panel )... cleaned it out and TIG welded it back.

Same thing I did neighbor has a tig so was easy but $135 on ebay is still easy and cheaper and about the same results as a $500 header pipe.

Still would like a full size cross over pipe

Spazz- what are you going to do with your Catless headpipe now?

Not sure yet... I may give it back to my friend... since he gave it to me... I'll have to ask him if he wants it back.
