hello
installed the v - twin 34 tooth compensator eliminator last weekend
job went real smooth did not have to take the clutch out there was enough slack in the primary chain
no shims were required gears lined up perfectly
instructions that come with it are lacking just use some common sense and you will be ok
had help from a buddy and the entire job only took about an hour or so

would advise that you have some help to hold the bike when you break the compensator bolt

it is in there tight

have not had a chance to ride yet will leave an update when I do

also I have changed the primary tensioner from factory to the heydan and really like it

I am about to do mine also, bought the 32 tooth with the tensioner. Stock compensator rattles a lot with the TW777 cams unless I set the idle at 1100.

Nice mod! I did mine about 2 years ago and haven't looked back since. I consider it money well spent to not have to deal with a compensator anymore.

Did you get a smaller chain to go along with the 32T sprocket? I'm wondering if the tensioner will still be able to take up the slack after dropping down 2T.

update
finally got to test ride weather and work are a pain

did a short test ride earlier this week about 150 miles these are the results
bike cranks easier both cold and hot
tach reads about 100/150 less with cruise set at 70 mph
fuel mileage went up 2 to 3 miles per gallon
shifting is much easier no clunking at all either from stop or moving on the road
neutral is easy to find and get into it from upper or lower gears
no noise at all
I went from a stock compensator to the 34 tooth eliminator and there is no lugging from stop to go
I do have the hayden tensioner installed
so far seems to be doing great and I wonder why Harley does not use them as a stock item

hope this helps some of you

Now that you've got almost a month on it, are you still loving it? I'm putting one in shortly and am curious if you still like it. I'm sure the design was originally to reduce jerking or backlash, but maybe it's not a big issue with the 103HO. I'm currently installing an S&S 111" so hopefully it won't complain too much with that either.

Well here is what I wound up with, about 1200 miles on it and I am happy. I kept the "add on shoe" on my stock adjuster from the Rivera Primo Game Changer, went with a 32 tooth solid sprocket. Absolutely love it! Smoother shifts, less clunk, and no more compensator rattle with the big cam at idle. Very Happy. BTW if you email Primo they will answer. they now have a updated shoe that fits the stock 14 up tensioner that will allow you to run a 32 tooth engine gear and stock chain. Overall, much smother and lug is not a issue. Love the lope of the cams at low idle in the parking lot.
