What's your take... offensive/aggressive riding or defensive/reactionary?

I prefer not to ride in traffic, especially these days with most drivers distracted by a cell phone or some other gizmo.

For me its the open road feeling, no other traffic in sight is the best.

Sure.. preference is golden! I love the back woods open mountain roads up in Lake Tahoe and Truckee... Beautiful and Scenic..but we must pilfer thru the traffic to get there...

Some of us are forced to ride in a madhouse of 4-6 lane rush hour traffic at 80-90 miles an hour... IF YOU WANT TO RIDE... which we do.

I feel with the experiences I gained while riding in SOCAL traffic for many years really honed my skills as a rider. I HATE the traffic and all the morons that go with it, but I am thankful I was able to use the experience to enhance my riding abilities

YEAH.... you and I definitely share the same feelings. FOR SURE!!! I think we would make a great pair. My brother and I ride probably like you and I would.

One rule I've learned to follow is: don't ride faster than you can stop in the distance you can see what's happening on the road ahead.

I know a guy who crested a hill and hit a farm implement, a guy who passed a line of slow cars when the front car turned left, and a guy who entered a curve with mud all over the exit from a downpour. All crashed badly.

There have been a couple of accidents in group rides in my area recently so I don't do 10-20-50+ riders anymore. I prefer 3-6 riders whom I know-know what the hell they're doing.
Riding with Spazz awhile back was a great time riding in areas we were both familiar with up and around Tahoe basin. Now that's my kind of ride!
