What did you do to, or on your streetglide today?

On seats, I've had mustangs and a sundowner. I prefer Mustang but my skinny ass only needs a slim seat. My favorite seat was a Mustang square back but they only make it for dyna. High back for support, comfy on the butt and slim for easy touch down.

Valve train noise sure came back strong. It sounds like I'm on a typewriter all day.

Totally unrelated, a guy where I park at work keeps putting his victory vision too close to me. Twice he's parked perfectly so that his fairing and mirror land between my fairing and brake lever! I must have bumped his mirror good enough last time as he now parks further away. Like 10 feet away.

I miss my Mustang I had on my Heritage. I can't seem to pull together the $800 for the one I want for this one. (Heated Summit)

I used an oil stabilizer called Nano Pro that I got from AutoZone and it took that drivetrain noise away beautifully. I'd wait until your 1k at the earliest to try that though.

Usually those guys that park like that need little eye opener to see that what they're doing is not okay.

I usually don't use stabilizers but I may give it a try. At 1k I'm switching to Mobil 1 20w-50 v-twin as I do my own oil changes. Hopefully that also quiets down the noisy whiny gears! Not used to having the gears whine in 2nd and 3rd. Did they go to full straight gears or something?

I don't think the vision owner did it on purpose. At first glance he was far away. It's just that bat wing swings over quite a bit when upright versus locked. If he does it again I'll take pics and leave a friendly note. I don't want to be a dick about it and doubt he does either. It's just coincidence that my upright fairing is even with his tilted fixed fairing.

I'll be seat shopping soon enough. Going to Texas end of January and again mid February so I gotta get ready. Phoenix to Austin is 1k miles, x4. Be prepared! (scout motto)

Could you post a shot from the back with the lights on? I've been really considering those lids but can only see the fabricated photos from the company and not much "real world" photos. Damn beautiful - bike and scenery. I'd order one of those on a poster. Link to your thread?

Here you go Terry, sorry for the delay. Picture from my phone doesn't really do them justice

Wow! I want!

Here's a suggestion if you buy the Bad Dad lids, have the inside hardware (opening mechanism) glued to the inside of the lids. Reason being that the tabs where the hardware screws into can be broken if you aren't super careful, I had both done that way as I broke a couple tabs off. I was able to find an extra set of the hardware for sale on the internet for $150.

Installed the Custom Dynamics LED front signal and rear signal / brake lights. - Man these things are bright! Next I'm going to add the tri bar rear fender tip light / brake light.

I was able to get my parts today. It looks like I was right and only need a new rear fender, light bar, and lights. I got the fender and light bar as take offs from a semi local dealer today. I got even luckier as they had the tail lights in as well. So, for $735 I got everything I needed in one stop shopping. After watching a movie with the kids I got the bike torn apart (with the kids helping too). Next up I have some cleaning to do and then I can reassemble on Sunday (I hope).

jez408 Nice look with 21" wheel!

I have a 21" Reinforcer that I plan to put on this winter. It came with fender spacers included. One question if I can? I'd like to also upgrade front fork suspension and probably lower it 1". Do you see any clearance issue with how close your setup is to frame/ engine guard, with 21" wheel and spacer if It was lowered an inch?
Thanks

You wont have issues with a 21 lowered 1". If youre worried use bump stops. I have a 26 lowered 1" with no issues
