Hey y'all. For some context I've got a 2013 Street Glide with around 18k miles on it. I snapped the belt on it about a month ago, so my buddy and I replaced it. While in the process of replacing it the clutch cable snapped as well so that was replaced. Upon rebuilding it, the clutch level now has a bunch of play in it and is super stiff. The clutch will not completely disengage, and we cannot get it out of neutral. I believe there may have been an issue upon reinstall of the clutch assembly as it was originally press fit and was removed with a sliding hammer after being disconnected. The clutch cage is cracked but could not locate if that occurred before removal or during. Would love to get some help so I can get back on the road.

First thing to do is to replace the cage. Nothing worse than a spinning cage disintegrating and pieces flying in all directions.

Before carefully reassembling the clutch, put slack in the cable. Then on the clutch loosen the jamb nut on the adjuster. Back the adjuster out, run the adjuster back in until it just touches. Finally back it off ½ to 1 turn and tighten the jamb nut. Take the slack out of the cable until there is 1/16 to 1/8 inch of free play at the ferrule in the clutch lever perch.
