Purchased aftermarket aux/fog lights. Factory installed harness from the forks has four wires, aftermarket unit harness has four wires. With power on, the turn signals on the aftermarket unit came on and flashed appropriately when the turn signal button was pressed, but the aux/fog lights did not come on. Spoke with the mechanic at the dealer and he said I needed to purchase the fog light panel switch because the bike came pre-wired from the factory with aux/fog light capability, but needed the panel switch to work. Fine, so I purchased the panel switch from the stealership for $100 and installed it. However, with power on, panel switch on (and green light indicating on), the aftermarket fog lights still don't come on but the turn signals do work. What am I missing here? Thanks.

Sounds like the passing lamp (fog light) isn't grounded. If you have a picture of the connector, could you post it. There should be 4 wires at the connector. Cavity 1= blue, 2 = violet or brown, 3 = black, 4 = gray w/black stipe. That is if the manufacturer used these colors. The wire (black) coming from cavity 3 should have a splice in it going from 1 to 2 wires. Socket 4 will have the power wire for the lamp. The green power indicator light on the switch just means that it has supplied power to the circuit.

Were did you order these from? Would you mind providing a link to them?
