I want to upgrade my lights, 2016 SGS, LED headlight, LED Turn signal and I wanted to add the HD Aux lights but when I priced the lights and kit I almost S**T.

I looked at the dual CD turn signals White driving light/Amber turn signal and wondered if that may be enough to take the place of the HD Aux lights?

Any thoughts?

The CD turn signals and the ones with the white rings are fine. They help people see you, but do nothing as far as lighting up the road goes. You'll have plenty of road lighting with the LED headlamp.

I understand the aux light kit does not fit with currently installed fork mounted wind deflectors and the fairing mounted wind deflectors without modification I was considering adding?

If I added the AUX lights I don't see a need for the front dual W/A LED TS.

Do you feel the AUX light kit was worth it? I have seen some videos where it looks like the LED HL projects further out and you loose some lighting closer to the front end and to the sides?

I pan to upgrade the front/rear TS to LED and also add tribar and plasma to filler panels.

I too agree that the LED headlight gives you plenty of light to light up the road... IF IT IS ADJUSTED PROPERLY! I've seen at least six SG owners, besides myself, that replaced the standard halogen HL's with LED DAYMAKERS (including dealer installed replacements) where the HL was NOT adjusted correctly. Apparently both styles of the "DAYMAKER" LED H/L's ("projector" & "reflector") cannot just be "popped in" and work correctly. Adjust correctly and it makes a huge difference.
*All you need is 25 ft of flat level space (+ your bikes length) to a flat wall or garage door and a 5/32 hex (preferably "ball end type") & follow directions w/illustrations in your owners manual.
Then, take it out on a night ride and notice the difference.

I am running the CD turn signals and I LOVE them, the white rings match up real well with the LED headlight.
hulkss is correct, they do not really add much additional lighting, but they look very cool.

Running a 2016 SGS:

I ordered the "kuryakyn phase 7 led" headlight from TruckLite. It is far superior to the oem headlight. All you need is the adapter harness. I ordered both from eBay for less than $200.

As far as the front/rear turn/brake lights I went with 1156 LEDs from the auto parts store. They look much better than stock and are a hell of a lot cheaper than the custom dynamics setups. They work just fine as tail/brake and running/turn signals. My only complaint is the temperature on the front turns (white) is different from my headlight. Otherwise I like them.

I also highly recommend getting smoked lenses. It really cleans up the look.

I run them and love them too!. Added LED's to the rear plus Plasma Rods for much better visability.

Recently tried unsuccessfully to install the front and rear bullet rings. Lights did not work properly seams they need a stabilizer but it states my 2016 SGS does not require.

2016 Denim Gray SGS (patiently awaiting it's delivery but already scheduled) upgrades are:
Willie G foot board, highway pegs, passenger pegs, front axe bolt cover, heel & toe shifter and brake pad.
Daymaker headlight (black)
Custom Dynamic front & rear turn signal and brake/turn dual led strip rear
FP3 turner
Vance Hines twin slash slip ons
White LED accent lights
SE heavy breather
Passenger backrest
Driver backrest
Mini antenna

Snell,
That is correct. NO STABILIZER REQUIRED ON THE RUSHMORE'S...
However....

Did you "re-sync" the can-bus?
You have to run your 4-way flashers for 1 to 2 minutes with your ignition switched to "off". You can actually watch the signals start to re-sync and once they are all working in concert, you should be good to go.

I run the dynamic ringz on my '14 SGS. Didn't need to do or add anything. Simple plug and play.

The LED inserts clusters and dynamic ringz are plug-and-play. They show all of this on their website pretty good.

Cool. Thanks. I checked the website, but I saw something that said requires magic box or something to that effect...

I have them for front and rear. I have a 2014 SGS.Turn signals are Plug and play. May have to do as earlier stated with them is run the hazards for a minute then each directional for a minute to sync but that is it. 5 minute install.

The only Custom Dynamics "magic box" that I'm aware is the one you install if you want your brake lights to strobe or flash as you're braking. I have it on my SG and it definitely gets the attention of the motorist behind you (both day & night) as you apply the brake. It has 10 different patterns you can set. Mine is set for 4 seconds of strobing flashes then goes to solid brake lights when I apply brakes. It is hooked up to my LED brake/turn signals as well as my C.D. LED tri-bar (Has 48 LED's as opposed to the OEM which only has 16 LED's in the tri-bar). My 8" plasma rods stay on solid (but brighter) when braking (no strobe). I'm a firm believer in doing everything I can do to be seen by cage drivers.
If you go the magic strobe/flash route, make sure it's legal in your state. I've only been pulled over once... In Georgia! A little fast talking, and politeness got me out of a ticket. The trooper actually thought it was pretty cool (Harley Owner), saying that it really got his attention when I was stopping in front of him, and he was about 10 to 15 car lengths back.

On the 14+ you don't need anything to add LED lights. Just plug and play. I can't remember if I mentioned previously, but I had to trim some excess plastic off of those lights so they would fit into the base of the housing. Otherwise they're fine. It may have just been that particular bulb I went with. I bought all four from Autozone.
