So I have been looking for a new exhaust for my SGS. It only has 200 miles on it so far but sounds like a sewing machine. Needed to sound like a harley. I'm pretty much set on Rush Big Louie slash tip slip ons in chrome with 2.5" baffles. I like the video clips I have seen. So I got to thinking. If I install new slip ons what will I do with my oem exhaust? Probably throw them away. They aren't really worth anything. So I got bored and decided why not cut out the baffles and see how they sound. To my amazement it sounds just like my softail heritage classic I recently sold with vance and hines long shots. Took it for a test ride. Wow did it sound much better. Almost exactly what I was going for with a slip on. So now I'm faced with a dilemma. Do I still buy new slip ons for a sound that is a touch better? Or do I keep these? Lol. Before I cut the baffles out I could justify spending the cash...Now I dont know since it sounds pretty good.
