Anyone know what to buy for a good looking extended saddlebags
. Harley's are way to much money, thanks

I hear good things about Top Shop bags. When I decide to do mine I'm going that way.

Check on eBay.....there are few companies that offer excellent prices....and good quality ABS. Read up on reviews & ratings from others and ask question to sellers.

I've got Top Shop bags, no complaints and they were easy to deal with. They matched up perfect with the Bad Dad Summit fender as well.

No leaks and I even have speaker lids. I put a seal between the speaker and lids, just in case I have rain covers if it really rains hard and I have to ride in it.

I'm looking really hard at the Advan Black bags. Any snags with the installation? Or them leaking?

Install was easy, just swap your hardware and the lids. One thing I was disappointed in was the rubber pieces that cradle the bags on the support brackets came with one nipple versus two on the oem pieces. The bags have two holes, like the Harley bags do so I ended up taking them off the old bags. That wasn't easy and I tore one of the nipples off doing it. I don't know if Advan Black was aware of that or not, but that was the only snag. But they don't leak, unless you have a leaky water bottle in them like I did once, lol. For the price, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I bought these Harley CVO replica bags at eastern performance. Around $330 for the set. Had to get a local painter to add vivid black and the pin stripe.

I did order the rear fender extension from advan black already painted. The paint was spot on and extension fit good.

I was considering the advan black bags but got worried about scraping on turns. I don’t think I would but I’ve rubbed the floorboard quite a bit and didn’t want to buy and paint more bags.

I have the eastern performance cvo style extended bags not happy with them. blocked sanded painted. wavy surface. if you like the stretch on the cvo factory bags buy them .If i had to do it again that's the way i would go. Remember the factory bags are perfect ,buy the aftermarket bags and you may be disappointed. Its not worth it.

I too was afraid of scraping the bags on turns so I fabricated an aluminum strip about 2" x 6" and used double-sided tape and attached them to the rear lower corners of the bags. Unfortunately I found I was scraping the front lower portions of the bags...

You scraped with the advan black bags?

And I’m pretty sure I saw one of the aftermarket bag companies selling skid plates for the bags. Can’t remember which one it was though.

My CVO replica bags came with the plates. Installed them with 3m. It covers just the back portion since the front portion obviously won't scrape
