I have a iPod connected to the USB port
I am not able to use left toggle on hand controls to go forward or back through my music
At my first service I asked my Harley dealer and was told that MP3 players will scroll but not Apple products
My question is if I get a MP3 player and connect via USB port will it work if I get a MP3 player that is set up to accept iTunes music or do I have to get a MP3 player that requires my iTunes music to be converted

I have used two different iPods one with old style connector and one with the lightning type on my boom 4.3 with the old software and the current 1.20.1, I can go forward and backwards using the left toggle also have used a 32 gig USB in exactly the same way hope this helps

I had the same problem, toggle switch wouldn't work when using USB device. I had something wrong in my settings, either had to go to scan or seek, not sure which, some one should chime in for the details but when in USB mode, go to menu, the options are there. Not sure if that will fix the Apple products issue but definitely will fix MP3, thumb drives, etc

Your HD radio doesn't care if its connected to Apple or MP3, actually the system was first compatible with Apple before bringing other android products along. If your left toggle works in the radio mode your Boom should be good. check the USB cord, that can be an issue. you may also try leaving Ipod connected during start up. If your Ipod is blue tooth capable, make sure its not dually connected (USB and IPOD Bluetooth) this will cause issues in determining which is master or slaved connection to the system.

I had this problem with the USB and found this works: On the USB Media menu, change Presets to Seek. The left/right toggle will now be enabled. It stays this way as well. I have the 4.3 Boombox. Best thing I found is the USB ability, the rest of it sucks.
