Thanks for the update to the update!

I know like everyone else has done so, updated my unit at least 5 times in one year! When do the updates stop?

Hopefully the updates don't stop, more updates means more improvements!

Hopefully once the radio is perfected. LOL

I called those guys the other day and that kit is only for the 4.3 they don't have one for the 6.5. I was a sad panda. Let me know how the install goes tho i may try to convert to the 4.3 somehow just so i can get this kit to work.

That Metra kit is for the 6.5 screen, but I've heard they are having issues with it.

That would be a first that they are having issues with the update. NOT. Knock on wood, I shouldn't be bad mouthing cause all my updates went smooth so far. Have not tried this one yet.

I can't believe people even consider replacing a $20k radio with a cheap radio. Geesh! :)

My 2014 FLHXSE issues, screen fails to initiate start up when in the start position (randomly). the bike will start, the radio infotainment will not (screen black). My software update is current (prior to 19 Jan 2015 release). I maintain the battery on a charger/condition/analyzer when parked in the garage. volt indicator reads 14-16 during first start of the day, after riding and high volume listening, I notice the voltage drop during starter engagement to near 10v. QUESTION: is it possible the battery/charging system is inadequate for the infotainment system when the bike is operating and using multiple features of the system (map, bluetooth, amp, lighting)?? Is it probable that infotainment fails to initiate on start up because of low voltage default and the bike starts in a "safe-mode" by not straining a low voltage indicator or amperage? Thanks for any feedback
PS. dealer said my battery and infotainment is good, i am still experiencing these issues.

I don't have the voltage problem that you describe. I've had a dark screen a few times, but after riding a couple of miles it goes back to normal. I have going on 10 hour trips at loud volume with no noticeable voltage dropoff. I think I would try another dealer for a second opinion on your charging and boom system.

I performed the update on my 14 SGS an hour ago. It appears to have all gone well. My nav still worked so that was an improvement over the first update I did over the summer!

Good to hear about your latest update GAFLHXS. I'm hopeful this one goes good for everyone.

Me to. Also, good to see that there are some actual improvements in this update. The waypoint issue is a biggie with some of my friends.

I bought my bike in September and have never updated the radio. Does the recent update bring me current or will I need to load more than one update?
Thanks in advance
