I recently discovered the splines on the rear shift lever of my ‘15 Street Glide are worn causing it to rattle. (I have already replaced the bolt) I’ve read conflicting comments where some owners say it can be removed on the 6 speeds without pulling the inner/outer primary. Well, I tried all the “tricks” I’ve read and it’s not coming out. I’ve only seen one YouTube video where a guy pulls his with little effort, and I tried the same technique with no luck. Anyone have any practical experience replacing the rear shift lever? I’d love to pick your brain. The dealer wants 4-5 hours labor @$150/hr to pull it.
