I know I don't know nearly enough, but I trust the professionals when I was doing mine. I use to do a lot of car audio and I'm surprised that the big hitters back then and now the junk.

I hear ya... its strange how that works in business

Don't get hung up on the numbers. I have read I don't know how many post over on FB's bagger stereo and most guys are either using Focal or Hertz speakers. I highly recommend you check out the site and talk to either Chris Lowe or Peter Jensen, both are great guys.

I'm still debating on which way to go.... I have done a ton more research on the audio. I am seeing more and more of the Focal/Hertz setups now and just can't wrap my head around it completely as of yet.

I sent an inquiry to Soundz on this setup to see what their recommendations are and why..

Focal 165AC up front
Focal 570AC out back
Arc Audio XDI 600.4 amp

I told them of what my initial thought was

Rokker 6.65 up front
Rokker 5x7 out back
Rokker 500x4 amp

I want to hear what they say and why.... I know that by the reviews the Focals are Loud and crisp, but I think they fall short on freq response, but not by much.... maybe I am asking for too much.

Their prices are better for the complete setup for sure....

Spazz- I'm watching your posts with great interest. I figure you guys will get it all straightened out and share the info with us dummies. Then we will have a better idea of what to buy.

Spazz, you won't be disappointed with that Focal/Arc set up. Not sure what your budget is, but if you can swing it go with the 165KRC for the front. Pete with Soundz is a great guy, does a great job making everything plug and play.

I was impressed by his response... very detailed..... and yes... the KRC's is the way to go unless you have VERY DEEP pockets and go level 5 with the separate components.

$1650 is a VERY good price for a complete plug and play system compiled of (4) high-end speakers, amp and wiring.

He was running a special at the time when I got my gear. I got the Arc 600.4 amp, focal 165krc and focal 570ac and all of the wiring for 1400. It wouldn't surprise me if he has another special coming soon with Daytona just a couple months away.

Bryan has this exact system installed already.... he is the one that pointed me in this direction and glad he did...

I was wrong on a few of my beliefs and understandings.... I now know why this is a much better system than others on the street

Why is it better?

The amount of current draw is minimal compared to others. .. output is more true with better dynamic range of sound.

what head unit are you going to use? stock? if so did you have to get it flashed?

Boom 6.5GT head unit... flashed for 4 speakers w/ no amp. They recommend you have it flashed this way prior to the install since the entire system is tuned with an oscilloscope prior to shipping it to you.

I haven't done anything yet... just getting all ducks in a row before I pull the trigger... I have been really taking this slow as not to jump into something I won't be happy with
