Just installed Taiddan garage door opener ordered on eBay $49.
Easy install works great! No more reaching for remote!

Great, another thing to add to the list.........

lol. I always say the same! Won't be disappointed with this upgrade! I had one of those key chain openers prior. Always digging through pockets when I got home. So much easier!

Can you post pictures of your setup and any tips on what to watch out for while installing?

No programming. Really easy. I would check above link to see what bikes it fits to eBay sale. My guess all touring models!

I don't see that it's a bike specific instead brand of garage door opener......am I looking at the wrong one? I hope not, I just ordered one.....!!!!

You should be fine! I was hesitant at first. But understood it better on install. Let me know how it worked out!

You can zoom up and read instructions. Only need to program if you have pairing up for multiple vehicles. Would be nice to get one for my truck. Would be safer if parked in my driveway. Couldn't be broken into and door opener pushed!

Question on Taiddan product....if/when something happened to it during warranty period (1 year) who/where do one send it in for warranty? I went to Taiddan.com and website has nothing just home page with 3 links Home/Products/Support and all 3 links are not working.

Don't want to be negative about this product (I ordered one from eBay and getting it Monday) but if company is selling their product like hot cakes and don't have their website up and running for support I am not sure I feel good about their product. I will check with seller on how they want warranty handled if/when unit crapped out...if I don't get straight answer I am returning it.

Yea.. There is not much about company but they have been around for a while. I've seen product discussed in other Harley Forums and found nothing negative. My thought was its less than half of Harley's product and it's just a garage door opener. It only slices into your high beam light for power just like Harley's. For 49$ I didn't mind giving it a try. Sure enough I'm happy with product. Would be curious what seller has to say about warranty info though.

Another way to go is hack an existing remote. Just crack the remote open and solder two wires to the back of the button that's already there. Connect the other end of the two wires to a button. It still requires a button mounted somewhere but might be more reliable than something from a company that doesn't seem to exist...and possibly doable with stuff you have laying around.

Update: spoke with seller and I was told that to just reach out to them and they'll take care of any warranty work for me so that's a huge PLUS with the seller.

And I am sure since they sell tons and I don't see any complaints about this product I have confident that it'll work just fine.

I order one yesterday too, since my bike just became my daily driver.

Just got mine today......will install it this weekend.

IamBr549, where exactly did you mount your unit for inside the garage? According to instructions to mount next to head unit....????

If you can post picture of where you mounted that'll be helpful and thank you!

I'm on vacation so can't post pic. I mounted on ceiling right next to head unit. There also was a power outlet located in same location. Instead of slicing wire to garage door opener switch ,I was able to connect directly to head unit where switch wire is connected. Hopefully I explained correctly. Good luck !

Thats what I did....except I got a 12v relay and wired the relay into my hi beams, mounted the remote inside the fairing...the relay was an old one I had from another project but they can be bought for a few $$$ from Radio Shack...you can also buy a 12v to 3.5 volt transformer that will eliminate the battery in the remote.
