well i gave up on Taiddan and used this method http://www.instructables.com/id/Installing-a-Garage-Door-Opener-Wired-to-Motorcycl/?ALLSTEPS. i bought a new key fob style opener(chamberlain) for 30.00 then another 20.00(see link) and time. mounted it behind the headlamp on the fairing with "super strength" velcro. works as the description stated. it was very hard to solder the wiring to the pins and used epoxy to seal up the wires so they can't work loose(my only concern), time wil tell if it was worth the trouble to make it.

I just installed one of these from eBay. Took less than five minutes. Works great so far.

What is the install process? I can't find anything online. Looks like it sneaks under the fairing & uses the stock switch space on fairing.Does fairing need to come off to install ?

Very easy install and works great. About half the price of the HD one.

I installed it on my Street Glide special inside the fairing, but it can fit behind the headlight on several other models.

Bought a Flash Pass unit years ago from eglidegoodies.com several years ago. Easy to install and works great. hit the high beam twice and the door opens or closes. The sending unit is on the third bike I have had since purchased.
