What did you do to, or on your streetglide today?

Installed my new, slightly taller, Long Ride Shields Ultra wind screen, and then went for a proper ride to test my new Airfx air ride. Wow, I am really happy with the air ride set up.

Just back from the Tenn/NC trip. Will post pics when ready. Trailered two bikes 14 hr each way and went well. The "Transport" function worked as planned

Added curved license plate holder today.. The plastic back plate and bolts looked to cheesy to leave on

Also picked up Willie G derby cover but will wait till next weekend to install. Having 1k service and recalls done on Saturday.. Tech said he would install it then..

My curved license plate holder was (also) unexciting so I cut out a blue plastic document protector, punched 4 holes in the corners and installed it over the plate. Looks much better I think.

Installed a set of cheaper aftermarket lowers. I wanted to try a set and didn't want to lay out $559 for a set of HD lowers.
These were from eBay from kjet. $198 shipped. Made in China but shipped from CA. Got them in 5 days. They were suppose to be color matched to black denim. I think I they are more of a satin and that's not a problem for me. Matches my powder coating pretty good. After reading some reviews and doing a little research I was expecting a less than perfect finish but was pleasantly surprised. They had all the mounting hardware and the weight of material seemed good. Went together OK (no instructions included ) after watching a video on their auction site. Overall I'm pretty happy with these. One reason I didn't go with the HD brand is I relocated my floor boards and knew I would have to cut these to make them fit. I didn't want to screw up a expensive set from HD. I thought I'd pass this on as I know others out there have been looking at these cheaper lowers

Sorry about the pics. They were right side up in my gallery?

Thx for the Lowers review Farmboy- Been thinking about a set for winter myself!

Hey Mandrew,
I've been thinking of getting a spare front wheel to have powder coated gold to match the pinstripe on the Morocco Gold SGS.
What you want for it? Shipped to East Tennessee, zip 37854?

Forgot to post this, but I added another bit of chrome to her. That little lip just under the windshield just begs to have SOMETHING put on it. Next up I'll be getting a set of windshield spikes to add to the effect.

Last Thursday I had to lay it down at about 20mph because the cage in front of me wasn't paying attention in front of her and slammed on her brakes right in front of me. Luckily it was a low speed dump, so the bike and I are mostly fine. I took a solid hit to the shoulder and scraped up my left arm and knee a bit, bike took it on the left side highway peg and saddlebag. (I knew I should've gotten those bag guards though!) No major damage to anything and I was able to ride away. Just got around to readjusting the highway pegs since I needed to put the one back in place anyway, but she'll be back on the road again tomorrow morning, now that my shoulder is good enough for it.

Glad you're ok Derrick. It was good to meet you in Daytona last March and hit Main Street. Be safe brother!

I just put gloss black spikes on mine a couple days ago.
Waiting on my USMC shield trim to come in.
Was your center spike/bolt to long without a shield trim ?
Asking because mine is, just put a few washers behind it for now tell my shield trim shows up.

Get on your bad motor scooter and ride

Honestly I couldn't tell you. I ordered them off eBay and just ran them in over my trim piece which I already had on since about a week or two ago.

Definitely wanna see that USMC trim once you get it though.

Installed Fork Fangs and adjustable fairing wings, makes a big difference on the air coming up from between the fairing and the gas tank!

You know, I really like the stripped down features of the street glide, but I can't deny the usefulness those two mods provide- especially in the colder riding seasons. I'm thinking I might pick them up and mount them for the winter, and strip things back down in the spring.
