What did you do to, or on your streetglide today?

Installed my new 9" Freedom Shield yesterday. Also took a ride from 11am-12midnight. Roughly 200 miles with several nice stops to take in scenary. High 60s all day with beautiful blue skies.

Nice, I like the Old #7 covers....now if they only came with a spigot....

Took a 2 hour ride around town with no destination to enjoy the day and the sun. Some speed racer tried to change lanes into me so I spent the next 2 miles pacing the slow poke in the adjacent lane. Revenge is a dish best served... Slow!

The bike also got a shorty antenna. I really don't mind the stock flagpole but it kept poking me when I wasn't paying attention!

New exhaust arrived today from Factory 47.... After mounting did a quick sound check, they will get a full workout tomm. always had older Harley's with drag pipes so it's nice to get that throaty Harley sound back.

This is the song that never ends... LOL

Also put on some new clutch and brake levers. Those are now black. Also put on a new tri-light bar. Its now a run/brake light.

Putting on a oil temp guage tomorrow. Also going to be putting on a new backing plate for the intake. Gunnah be black but I need to modify it so that I can vent the bypass oil out of the intake first. That'll be it's own thread.

graywolfhd- DId you wire up everything on your Tourpak? I removed the speaker harness as well as the Antenna and CB wires. I only had a harness built off my frame to run all the TP lights. You??

What kind of seat is that? That's not the stock seat is it?

Here what I did today...yep, even more, haha!

Blacked out the heat shields.

My tourpak unlike the one you obtained is basic. No lights hence chrome strips in side. I did mount Airwing luggage rack with led light so there is that wire but that is it. Did get the liner along with the organizer too.

Forgot to take a picture of it, but I finally got around to upgrading my led bulbs to the proper Custom Dynamics lights. Just went with regular full amber up front and full red in the rear, but man these suckers are BRIGHT. I also did the tri bar upgrade a couple months back to make it run/brake to help with visibility a bit.

Yesterday I spent the majority of the day on the bike. I did just shy of 300 miles on all back roads. I went from Northern Virginia down to Richmond to see a friend who has not been able to ride in over a year due to medical problems. Getting to him, by the route I took, was the longest I have gone to a single destination. I hung out with him for a bit, had lunch, and then headed off to the Richmond HD dealer (since I was in the area).

HD FAIL! I used my nav system to get me there. They moved! Oh well. I did not have time to go hunting them down so I headed on home. I took a completely different route home but still all back roads and byways.

In then end I think I spent about 6.5 hours in the seat for the day.

I only had one close call when a semi came around a turn. He was in the lane (2 lane road) on my left and the cab was fine. His ass end, however, was in my lane!

I was exhausted when I got home, had a tall glass (mason jar) of bourbon, got my boots off, put on the shorts, and then did homework with the kids. All in all a VERY good day. I think I have to leave work early today so as to wash that bike.

Went on my last Street Glide Ride for awhile today. Put about 320 miles on her from 6:40AM to 1:50PM today... Stopped for lunch at a Seminole Indian Reservation (Nice Folks - Fixed me some fresh fried Gator Tail).
My cylinder heads come off tomorrow, and I'm sending them out for porting & polishing to match the new cam set I'm buying. My SGS will be out of action for a little more than a month, but I've always got my FJR 1300 Missile Bagger, so I'll still be riding.

When I got back after my ride, my wife gave me a NEW Air Cleaner Insert Emblem to add to my goofy little collection. I started buying ones that I'd see on various models right after I put my SE A/c kit on, and got a new emblem/insert in the kit.

Today, she went out and bought me #61300054, and it's my NEW favorite....Almost matches the Charcoal Pearl from some angles.
Here's a pic of my little collection and a pic of my latest, and my NEW favorite...I can change 'em out as my mood changes Gotta love "hook & Loop" fastening... Cheapo Customization... Lol

I installed the alloy art stabilizer. It mounts to the left side of the engine by the starter and attaches to the right side of the bike. Haven't rode much since the install, has anyone else installed one of these with any results?
