What does one need to know to pick a good audio system

After hearing how awesome Spazz's scooter sounds even from my phone. Stock just ain't good enough.

I have never done any car audio except for deck install. So I'm freaking clueless. What does one need to know to put together a kickass amp and speakers together?

You should talk to Pete at Soundz, he can work with your budget and set up a system that will be plug and play. He makes he very simple to install.

Bryan is right... just call Pete and talk to him.... he is VERY good at what he does and can explain anything and everything so you can understand.

And thanks for the complement... I stirred up a bunch of stuff.. lol!!!

( It's all Bryan's fault... HE STARTED IT!! )

Spazz, you caused me to make a unexpected dent in my wallet also. I ordered the 165KRC speakers and amp for the fairing from him yesterday. Was originally considering J&M or Boom II but went this route instead.
 
Speed4tu, you will not be disappointed. Yes it is a lot of money, but it's well worth it.

Just so you all know... my dealer had me pull my bike to the back and go against a Boom II on a RG.... I drowned it out.. the we're impressed with my system to say the least...

You can't go wrong with SoundzCustomz.... Peter will put you in a great system within your budget

What does one need to know to pick a good audio system

I nervous about the sounds equipment getting wet. You never know when your going to get caught in a down pour. I have had to empty the horn out 4 times last riding season cause it was full of rain. I was thinking about going with wet sounds.

I would go the Soundz system for sure just for the customer service. Peter will talk you though install and if your close to an event or his shop he will install for free. He sets these up for a simple to follow step by step install and he is on call everyday should you need help. I thought my 2 speaker and amp system sounded good but the 4 speaker system of Todd's is out of this world. I don't have the 10 hours yet so my system is still flattened out and I haven't gone over half volume (And you don't know how hard this has been) yet but it's coming really soon. Biggest thing is take your time and do it right so start saving those pennies.

BB you need to talk to Peter before the show and set up an appointment as they are usually booked during events if your going to do it.

Very true.... and that was only a tad over 50% volume and flat bass/treble..... now I can crank it up with some Five Finger Death Punch!

I'm actually going to be setting them perform towards the end of April. I love their albums, but have never seen them live yet.

I wanna see a video of your system playing some of that lol
