New LED Headlight from JW Speaker

Here's a good article if your thinking about a cheaper HID conversion.

Thats a good article and absolutely correct. I tried a "kit" several years ago on my corvette and could never get the beam to focus though the OEM lens. I ended up going back to OEM bulbs and tossing the HID's in a box.

I've talked with Daniel last year when I was looking for alternative lighting. The man can get pretty deep and seems to know his craft rather well. I caved and went with the Daymaker, I'm satisfied.

Tom. ..so all i need is the lift and the led harness from harley? it just bolts on no problem? no special brackets or mounts?

Not sure about a lift but all you need is the wiring harness and new light. The stock one on the 14's and 15's have 2 plugs the new harness takes it back to 1 plug. It's pretty easy it's all right there to see once you get the light out. Took longer to get the new harness into the little plastic holder after taking out the old one. Little plastic things that move around while your trying to slip and snap things on"LOL" After test riding my bike the other night I had to adjust it up some. Had Spazz's bike and mine side by side on a dark road to see the difference between the evolution 1 & 2and there is a little difference but not that much to go change out the daymaker right now.

This is a really easy install

thanks meant light, not lift

I know just me had to rub it in. You will be impressed with your first experience riding at night with this light.

14 FLHX...I have the TL7 and I see you changed to the new Evo2. Can you see that much difference? Although the TL7 is a much better product than stock lighting I am not that satisfied with the "hot" spot that it produces.

I like mine so far see if you can find some one that has one and look at it

Ok i must be the biggest idot on the planet because i am not finding anything plug n play about this install. I got the light mounted no problem. But this harrness from hd does not just plug in.

Did anyone else need to cut wires to install the harness?

I have 2 plugs coming from the bike to the headlight high/low. The harness has a flat plug with 4 wires.

Ok step back and take another look. You have to unplug the 2 plug harness and plug the single harness into where you took the double out of. Give that a try and let us know buddy life is good

Ok then I suggest you step away and come back after some more coffee or wait until tomorrow LOL

Just picked up an evo2 on ebay. 315 shipped. I'm not done buying myself b day presents yet.
Mojo you better keep that spray handy.

Call me cheap but I just bought a used Truck-lite for half the price and so far I like it much better than stock. There are some good deals out there on some used lights as folks upgrade to the latest. I don't think the higher price warrants being able to see 100 feet further down the road...heck I can't see that far during the day anyway...;)
