What did you do to, or on your streetglide today?

Couldn't resist, took a short ride around town. Air deflectors did a great job! Still some air from the sides but it was a huge decrease on the wind hitting my torso at freeway speeds.

Well, after a couple of weeks of researching aftermarket Fairing Lowers, I order mine today for half the cost of the HD units. There are actually about 4 different versions: Non-Vented, Vented, models to use on bikes up to 2013. and 2 different types for 2014-16 ( Air cooled and water cooled). Some have snap doors and others magnetic doors. I ended up purchasing a set from Fairing Factory at:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/HARLEY-2014...ING-FACTORY-FOR-HARLEY-DAVIDSON-/131238266188

These have magnetic doors, Vent doors made from metal not plastic and come with BOTH storage pockets AND Speaker pockets! I balked at first because the shipping was $59, The set is $249. But, when I priced other version, you still had snap doors, and most did not include install hardware. All of this is included and they come already assembled!
I will post some pics once I finish with them as they come only in HD black. All this is moot to me as I intend to paint mine to match my bike's color and add HD's pocket liners which I got practically free due to Santa's gift card. I was going to run them only during the cold winter months but I chose the units with the mesh grill instead of solid panel and that way I can add a thin piece of Plexiglas over them in cold weather and remove it for flow in warm/hot weather. If you're thinking of fairing lowers yourselves check this company out, the reviews are awesome and the make all years versions. I should have them mid week as they shipped with a tracking # the same day I ordered them.
By the way, they make Tourpaks, speaker lids, extended bags and other goodies too!

Lights!! Installed the Fuel Moto head light bulbs and finally got around to installing 8" plasma rods in the back..now if only Spring would come so I could try them out.

Did the New Years Day ride with the local HOG chapter, brisk, sunny, and no strong winds made for a nice ride, the Show-Me's that we stopped at wasn't ready for the size of crowd we had!

Started the New Year right. Back roads from Louisville to Lexington, 200 miles, with 13 bikes. Temps started at 37 degrees and rose to a blistering 41 degrees. Fingers were frozen, now I need heated grips? Added HD Daymaker headlight with passing lamps. Looks better than the TL7 but they are pricey.

3rd straight day of being soaked riding to or from work. The rain has really thinned out the 2 wheel herd here in Phoenix. The garage I Park in usually has about 7 bikes, today it was just mine and one old Heritage. The only other bike I saw in the freeway was a trooper.

Yesterday I added docking plates I got off ebay for half the retail cost. Next up is either bag guards or a sissy bar. My wish list is larger than my paycheck so it'll all come one item at a time.

SNAP.
I did the same today.
please let me know your setup.
I have a /k&N airfilter and Screaming Eagle street cannons, and had to compromise on the first map.

K&n filter and full boar 2.5"s. Rain today, snow tomorrow, and a high of 16* Sunday means I have to wait to ride her now.

Changed the handlebars to the Khromewerks 2+2 Narrow Sweepers. They reduce the reach by 2-7/16 and add an additional 2-11/16 to the height. It really made a difference in riding comfort for me. I took a pic before and after. You can see the break in my elbow in the after.

Looks great udawg! Those little changes can sure make it more comfortable. I feel with the stock bars, the reach is too far forward especially when turning the bars all the way. It hasn't happened yet on this bike, but on a previous bike I actually hit my knee with the bars making a tight turn.

It took me longer than it should have to align things, but I installed a hidden, flush mount axle. I love the look without those knobs sticking out. If you are going to change your forks or front wheel, I recommend doing this mod at the same time.

I used a Renegade flush mount axle from HHI. Good price, solid product, and quick shipping.

Mandrew, looks great. I've got a fork change in the near future and I'm gonna do the same per your suggestion.

Gotta have one of those. When will the addiction stop?

On the hidden axles- adjure also makes a quality product. I don't think you have to remove the wheel in order to install the adjure. Taking the wheel off really isn't a big deal, but that install difference might make a difference for some. For me, the fact that adjure only comes in chrome was the big factor.
