One hundred twenty cubic inches!

Wow what a set up hulk! I'm liking the super charger route.

I'm staying 100% H-D. I hope this way any H-D dealer can fix it if I have trouble when I'm out touring around. I get a short one year warranty to find any problems so I'll have to put on some miles this year.

Go Big or stay home... Thats the ticket. I like the "TOTAL H-D" thing too. One stop shopping. Probably a VERY Smart move IMO. No question marks floating over the dealers head when you're out in the middle of... Well, you know.

I almost bought the Stage V kit but reconsidered. I also looked at other engines. This is a fully street certified package. I expect great performance and good support from H-D. Time will tell.

I almost bought this same set up last Thursday after looking at a crate motor sitting on the floor on a stand.

These heads were not in the Stage V kit but are on the 120ST crate motor:

SCREAMIN’ EAGLE PRO MAXIMUM VELOCITY AREA (MVA) CYLINDER HEADS – CNC PORTED
The most advanced Twin Cam performance cylinder head design available. Screamin’ Eagle CNC Ported Maximum Velocity Area (MVA) cylinder heads create power across the entire RPM range by maximizing velocity through the intake ports. Increased air speed velocity through the ports is achieved by “right sizing” port volume at 98cc, lowering the port roof, and by precision-machining the shape of the port to complement the giant 2.120" intake valves. Screamin’ Eagle CNC-Ported MVA Cylinder Heads conquer a unique engineering challenge and provide the highest possible torque and acceleration at any RPM. MVA Heads will boost the punch of a 103" engine. When paired with high lift cams, MVA Heads can give a 110" or 113" motor everything it needs to achieve new levels of performance. Countless hours of dyno testing resulted in a 95cc combustion chamber that performs in perfect balance with the port size and shape and reduced detonation. MVA Heads feature Screamin’ Eagle Race Springs that permit the use of high lift cams (up to .660") and are machined to accept automatic compression releases (sold separately) for easier starting. MVA Heads are manufactured and assembled at Harley-Davidson’s world class engine factory in Milwaukee, ensuring every set is made to exact tolerances.

Me too. Careful what happens this week!

I hope this is the one upgrade that will keep me happy with my bike a long time.

Some other points that pushed me over the edge.

The 120R engine was introduced in 2010. This engine has been in production for 5 years.

I was worried about the long stroke crank and short connecting rods putting side load on the pistons and cylinder bores....Not a problem, the proportions are the same as a 350 Chevy V8. They are about as proven as you can get.

I hear they are coming out with a 117 kit for the 110 motors.

The A&S clutch has easier lever pull yet handles more torque. It's stock in CVOs and Trikes.

For a big motor it has tiny pistons! Light weight = low vibration I hope.

Good luck!

Thanks. I will need that for sure. Lots could go wrong here. My 103 runs great. I must be nuts to remove it. I'm gonna keep it on a display stand for awhile, just in case I need it.

I told my wife they are picking up the bike to put on new tires.

I hope this is the end of the line on mods for this bike. LOL

No you don't Hulkss...thats only half the fun of having a bike like we have...to keep adding stuff to it....unless you opt for a brand new one to start over with...lol

Hulkss,

CONGRATS!!!!

You are going to be SOOOO PLEASED with this 120ST! I couldn't believe the difference! The break-in is the hardest... since you want to FEEL the power once you fire that beast up!

Are you doing the install or having HD do it for you? Nice thing is, you can recoop some coin if you sell your 103.

I will be going with a Rekluse Clutch soon to keep more power to the pavement... but I will have to look into your choice to compare for my own sake as you do your research as I do and trust your judgment and decisions for your own scoot.

Did they give you a lead-time?

Since your post, I started my usual, "Honey, what would you think if I..."
So far, I'm up to about 15 "NO!!!'s", and a couple of "FORGET ABOUT IT!!!'s" She keeps reminding me that I promised her I'd leave this one "TOTALLY STOCK" after selling my '01 Wide Glide II with the 131" "powder keg" motor (blew it up twice!).

When you get bored with the 120ST, you can always add a Trask turbo kit and really wake it up!

I hate to say it.... I'm already looking at the FM124 kit... LOL!!! Does it ever stop!?!?! ( rhetorical ) I know the answer....

Hulk, not wanting to pry to much, but from what I see about the cost and them installing, that has to be about 8500-10,000. You MUST, post some good pictures of your bike and all of the different things you have done, so I can pick and spend wisely!! My wife studies my bikes and pretty much knows when I change a bolt.
