What did you do to, or on your streetglide today?

Had my inner fairing painted over the winter and finally got it back and installed over the weekend!

The weather here sucks today so after looking at my glide for awhile I wasn't liking the looks of the bars in the Streamline floor boards and pegs, so I removed them and polished them since they are stainless steel. I think they look better shiny. lol the left one wasn't done in pic but the right one was. but brake peddle wasn't yet.20160410_120848.jpg20160410_120858.jpg

Rode across town to bike fest, and nearly talked myself into some slip ons. Took the long way home in the rain and enjoyed every minute of it.

Added a bit of home made security to my Tour Pak.
Added a S&S Air cleaner cover just to change things up a bit.

For those of you that have a Razor or King Tour Pak, I found out quickly that there isn't enough space to use HD's locking clips key on the 4 point dock so I used ordinary nylon Cable ties. Easy to cut off given enough time but for those who would try to unlatch them in the dark, a real PIA ha ha.

I was thinking of drilling a hole thru the plate and putting a bolt behind the latch to keep it from being turned. If I can do it without flaking the chrome off, I'll add a chrome Allen head bolt and lock nut. It won't be safe from someone whose got time and tools, but it too would prevent a quick snatching

Good idea Mojo...I've been doing that for awhile....I do it on both sides just to make it that much harder to steal.

Found some old '90s touring mufflers that accepted the multi-position turnouts that I bought some time back..... so I decided to mount them to the new SGS to see what they looked like..... after I opened up the stock baffle just a little bit... approx. 1"
The mufflers came with some fishtail endcaps, too. Probably try them, as well.

Here's the old turnouts......

AZ, You ever tried to cut those little zip ties off like I added? It takes a sharp razor knife,
Lots of light and T I M E !

Not in a situation like that (maybe I'll try it) but I've had good success using side cutters to cut the block portion of the zip tie apart. they basically fall apart after that.

Hello everyone, my name is Justin and this is my first Harley. It's a 16 SGS. I bought it back in mid December 15. Put about 150 on the odometer. Here is the list of stuff I've done the past 2 days:

- black headlight trim
- smoked turn signals
- V&H VO2 a/c
- V&H FP3
- V&H power duels
- Black luggage rack and sissy bar
* ordered my CFR mufflers in Feb and still waiting for them to show up.

Took the faring off to replace the weatherstripping that seals the outer faring to the windshield. Got it all buttoned up and I still have a gap on each side of the windshield and where the two haves of the vent come together. It's back apart now. I'm thinking Some fine tuning of the amp placement and s needed.

From chrome...

to black!

Up next is the outer fender skirt. That'll be in a few weeks after the wife isn't mad at me anymore for the headlamp ring, HAHA!!

Took a 250+ mile ride with 30 other bikes to a little Hole-in-the-wall place on the Mother Road (Route66) at Devils Elbow, Mo.

I rode her to work. Feels good to be back in the saddle after our long drawn out winter.
