ok
can someone help me out here ?
I have the update on my jump drive but the bike tells me 'no playable media'.
The file is on the jump drive as a zipped file I can see it when installed to my desk top does it need to be unzipped for the bike to see/read it ?

TIA

The. iso file in the zipped folder is the file you want in the root directory of your thumb drive when you plug it into the bike.

Edit: Read the question wrong.

Unzip the zip and put the file on the root of the flash drive, and you should be good to go.

I cleared everything off the thumb drive prior to downloading the update.

The update is the only thing on the thumb drive.

Unzip the folder on your PC and copy the. iso file to your thumb drive. Should work.

Unzipped the file deleted the Zipped file from the thumb drive tried again and got the same result.

Get on your bad motor scooter and ride

What is the exact file name on your thumb drive? HD website says you need at least a 8GB drive. Do you? It also must be FAT32 formatted I believe.

I downloaded the file to my hard drive. Then I "EXTRACTED" the file and sent that file to my thumb drive. On Windows 8 the extract soft button is at the top.

The thumb drive is 32GB and was FAT32 formatted before I started.

formatted the drive before starting I have done updates to the Kenwood unit in my truck and it went smoothly dont know why I would have issues with the HD update.

1. Format the thumb drive again.
2. Right click on unzipped ISO file and send it to thumb drive.
3. Put bike in accessory, bring up audio (radio) page and plug in thumb drive. Let it run, (about 7 min.)

Yessir. Worked like a champ. Thanks for the help ya'll. I would've found a way to make fluid leak somehow during this software upgrade had I not clicked on this thread.
