Did everyone on here choose the Streetglide from other Harleys or did anyone come from metrics? I am looking at a SG or RG and I ride a Vstar1300. What should I expect that would be different from my current ride? I definitely am looking forward to 6th gear and the aftermarket world! I love to customize and my Yamaha doesn't have anything special unless I want a to look like a total Harley knock off.

I had a 2007 1200c, I've been wanting a SG for a long time, finally I got the green light from the wife this year.

Wasn't happy with it because of the power. Had it a year. Then I traded up to the Stratoliner Deluxe (2010). 1900 cc 113 cu in. Lots of power.

Wanted another gear, cruise, and a host of other options so away she went.

I went from a BMW 1600 GTL. Great ride but couldn't make it my own. Everyone seemed to have the same one as there was very little for accessories.

81 Kawi KZ-400 LTD> 06 Honda CBR600RR>07 SG>87 BMW K100LT>04 Sportster>14 SGS

Had 3 in the garage at one time and had 2 in the garage for about 5 years, still have the 04 Sporty (wife's now)

I've only ever had my 2012 Sportster before this one. I still kinda miss it, but I wouldn't want to give up the storage and other features I get out of my SG to get it back.

Sure was purty though.

army surplus triumph 500 - honda 350 - honda 750 - yamaha 250 enduro - honda 125 enduro - honda 500 silverwing - honda 900 - bmw K100 - bmw r1150r - bmw r1200c - victory vegas - harley fatboy - harley roadglide - bmw r1200c - bmw r1200rt - harley streetglide

Of them all - the streetglide and roadglide were the most comfortable and enjoyable rides, with the R1200C's a close second.
